Guidelines for Usage of CIFSC and Team Connection Logos

• The Central Illinois Figure Skating Club (CIFSC) and Team Connection logos have been created by professional graphic artists using CIFSC funds. Both logos have been voted on by the CIFSC board and are trademarked by the club. These logos are available for club use and not intended for personal use. CIFSC board recognizes the need for uses of the logos for personal use under special circumstances but written permission via the Logo Usage Form from the CIFSC board must be obtained each time before any personal use of logo/s. Using the logo/s without obtaining proper permission is a violation of Federal and State Trademark laws.

• Person applying for use of either the CIFSC and/or Team Connection logo/s must be of 18 years or older and full (mainstream) member of CIFSC. In addition, logo/s can only be used by individuals for personal purposes not for item/s for sale, gift, or profit.

• For personal use, the logos cannot be changed in any way from its original appearance (colors, fonts, designs). If expanded, the logos must be kept in its original ratios of width and length. Stretching that can distort the logo/s is not permitted.

• After receiving the initial approval from CIFSC, an individual must provide a proof of the logo he/she intend to use to the CIFSC board for approval. If approval is given by CIFSC board, permission for logo/s use is valid for one year from the date of approval for the specific item/s that is/are stated on the logo usage form.

• CIFSC board highly recommend that Club skaters wear club-sponsored logo items when representing the club at competitions, club ice, and club events as these show club pride and promote camaraderie among skaters. The items include but not limited to:

  • Jackets

  • T-shirts

  • Tank tops

  • Sweatshirts

  • Fleeces

• If a skater desires an item that are not available within the club store, and/or the skater has a specific fit related issue/s with the item/s, this needs to be addressed by the board and the board will decide whether this item can be added to the store or a permission be given for personally produced item/s.

• If a coach or parent of a skater desires an item that is not available in the club store this needs to be brought up to the board and the board will decide whether this item can be added to the store or personally produced.

• Skaters can wear jackets or other items without a club logo – this guideline pertains to CIFSC and Team Connection logo items only.
